BIG FILTER Company enlarges the range of cabin and air filters for foreign cars.
BIG FILTER goes on developing production of filters for passenger cars. Thus, in January its range was complemented with new air filters GB-9696 and cabin carbon filters GB-9877/C.
Cabin carbon filter GB-9877/C is the analogue of MANN CU2940 / CUK2940, MAHLE LA138 / LAK138, FILTRON K1093 / K1093A, FRAM CF9398 / CFA9587. Filter GB-9877/C is installed to cars CITROEN C2, C3, C4, PEUGEOT 1007, 307, 308.
Air filter GB-9696 is the analogue of MANN C24123/1, MAHLE LX742, FILTRON AP135/2, SCT SB2019 and is installed to cars RENAULT Espace IV, Laguna II, Vel Satis.

'We have worked nicely and will have a nice holiday', - this is how our Company has been traditionally summarizing the annual results for many years.

Johnson Controls Inc.* representatives visit our company.
During the visit Johnson Controls Inc. representatives had a survey of BIG Filter productive capacities and evaluated the quality management system of the company.
Basing on the results of the visit, the parties defined the sphere of mutual interests and agreed on the order of further co-operation.

November 11.
Within the program of automobile plants co-operation expansion our company was receiving the representative of General Motors Russia and CIS Purchasing Department.
The aim of the visit was evaluation of BIG Filter possibilities in regard to the supporting of the famous automobile concern demands for components of Russian production.
During the visit BIG Filter production organization and quality management system built in total accordance with ISO/TS 16949 were shown to the guest.
Basing on the results of the visit the parties defined the order of further co-operation.

BIG FILTER Company receives the certificates of conformity of the quality management system to the ISO TS 16949:2009 and ISO 9001:2008 requirements.
BIG FILTER has received the international certificates of conformity of the quality management system to the ISO TS 16949:2009 and ISO 9001:2008 requirements. The certification center is URS (United Registrar of Systems).
The receipt of these certificates, as the result of the consequent efforts of the company in improving its quality management system, became the successive confirmation of the steady high quality of the products and the reliability of their supplier.

BIG FILTER company takes part in InterAuto-2011 Exhibition.
On August 24-28, 2011 BIG FILTER Company was as usual presenting its products at the biggest Russia's automobile exhibition 'InterAuto-2011', which took place in 'Crocus Expo' International Exhibition centre in Moscow.
BIG FILTER achievements connected with the successful certification of the company by ISO/TS 16949:2009 standard and the development of serial supplies to conveyors and warranty nets of foreign automobile concerns in Russia became the main topic of this year exposition.
As to the aftermarket, the success and further plans of the company regarding the expansion of the offer for foreign cars segment, addressed both to motorists and car service centre professionals, were of special interest.
The representatives of famous Russian and foreign companies from all regions of Russia and CIS visited BIG FILTER booth. During the exhibition more than 200 meetings and negotiations were held at the company's booth, which resulted into important agreements both with current and future partners.

On August 4 BIG FILTER was receiving the representatives of famous European automobile components manufacturer Webasto, who visited the company in order to define possible prospects of cooperation.

BIG FILTER takes part in 'New European Champions' international forum (Warsaw).
On July 21 Boris N. Beylin, the president of BIG FILTER Ltd, took part in 'New European Champions' international forum (Warsaw).
'New European Champions' project was established by initiative of the European Forum for Entrepreneurship Research (EFER) in collaboration with Barcelona IESE Business School and Warsaw Economics School.
The main aim of the project is to use the knowledge and experience of successful businessmen of Russia, Central and Eastern Europe, who have founded the most innovative and developing companies on the international market scale, for preparation of teaching materials for young entrepreneurs.
During the discussions of the invited entrepreneurs and academics of European and Russian business-schools, different practical aspects of successful penetration and growth of the companies at the international market, including 'recipes' of building a successful team, a strong brand etc., were discussed.
The 'New European Champions' diploma and commemorative token, brought from Warsaw, are yet another fact of acknowledgement of the success of BIG FILTER Company, which products have already got good reputation and recognition on almost all continents.

Final stage of ISO/TS 16949:2009 audit is passed successfully.
We are glad to inform that BIG FILTER Company has successfully passed the final stage of the certification audit for correspondence to ISO/TS 16949:2009 requirements.
Thus, it can be stated that according to the previously announced plans the Company has proved the achievement of the certified supplier status according to ISO/TS 16949:2009.
The receipt of the certificate itself is planned for the middle of August. As a matter of fact, the successful passing of ISO/TS 16949:2009 certification means the transfer of the Company - the only filters manufacturer in Russia - to the 'major league' of the suppliers who completely correspond to the unified international requirements of the world's leaders of the automobile industry.
This event gives a new stimulus in the successful development of the relations with international OEMs in Russia, as well as becomes a substantial evidence of the Company competitiveness in relation to the recognized world's manufacturers of automobile filters.

On June 1-2 BIG FILTER participated in the AutoRussia-2011 conference.
The AutoRussia conference has been held already for 7 years and by right is a significant event for the Russian automobile industry.
Among the speakers there were representatives of the municipal government, General Motors Auto, Volkswagen Group Rus, Renault-Nissan, and also Russian suppliers of automobile components.
The highlight of the day was the information from automobile manufacturers about corrections of their plans and business-scenarios in view of the Resolution 166, which significantly toughened the requirements to the level of localization of industrial assemblage of foreign OEMs on the Russian Federation territory.
Boris N. Beylin, the President of BIG FILTER, raised a number of questions, which concern each national manufacturer, for the speakers:
Neglect of the authorities to the manufacturers' interests.
Dictates of power engineering monopolists.
Inactivity of some OEMs during the process of localization.
Warp of prices for metal at the Russian market.
In our opinion, in spite of numerous serious problems, the forum has again demonstrated the development of the constructive dialogue between all the parties of the process (authority, suppliers, ïåís).
As a result, the interesting and painful questions of BIG FILTER helped to outline the ways of their solution. Agreements with municipal government bodies, GM (with Mr. Peter Layer), steel suppliers and logistics specialists have been reached.
During the conference our representatives had effective meetings and negotiations with many participants of the forum, and BIG FILTER was even marked by a special prize for active participation by the organizers of the conference.
May 2011:
On May 19-20, 2011 BIG FILTER successfully passed the first stage of the audit for conformity of the quality management system to the ISO/TS 16949:2009 requirements.
The next stage of the certification is planned for July 2011.
For information, ISO/TS 16949:2009 is the international standard for companies - suppliers of the automobile sphere, which is to effect transfer from split national standards to unified international requirements. This standard was prepared by International Automotive Task Force (IATF), which nowadays consists of BMW, Daimler Chrysler, Fiat, Ford, General Motors, PSA Peugeot-Citroen, Renault SA, Volkswagen.
BIG FILTER Company is the only Russian filters manufacturer to pretend to the official acknowledgement of the full conformity to the requirements of the world's automobile industry. Receipt of this certificate will mean the highest estimate of BIG FILTER - it will be the confirmation of the fact that the Company has the headmost quality management system, which not only guaranties conformity of the products quality to standards and consumers' requirements, but also provides its further continuous improvement and development.
BIG FILTER Company continues developing strategic co-operation with automobile manufacturers.
On May 17 BIG FILTER Company was nominated by GM-AVTOVAZ Concern management for supplying GB-9831 air filters for production of CHEVROLET Niva and Lada Kalina automobiles. At the moment preparation of the plant for serial supplies of GB-9831 air filters, which got 21230-8122010-20-0 ïåí number, to GM-AVTOVAZ conveyor is being held.
March 2011:
On March 24 BIG FILTER participated in VW Supplier's Day in Kaluga.
During his main report "VW Rus - 2018 strategy" Purchasing Director Frank Haase highlighted that the basis of VW strategy was quality plus satisfaction of consumers' requirements.
According to Frank Haase's words, one of the key aims of VW in Russia is to integrate into Russian production. In order to realize this aim, the concern intensively works at the enlargement of the Russian automobile components suppliers' base.
At present, only limited number of Russian suppliers, including BIG FILTER, corresponds to the straight-out requirements of the automobile giant to the quality of the components.
It is significant to note that BIG FILTER is one of the three companies, which have 100% Russian capital and management, among 26 official VW suppliers in Russia.
It should also be mentioned that since 2010 BIG FILTER has been effecting serial supplies of GB-800 filter to the conveyor of Volkswagen automobile plant in Kaluga. All VW Polo-V automobiles produced in Russia get BIG FILTER air filter GB-800 in assembly with the housing. This filter goes on retail sale and to warranty networks under GB-8000 code. Except VW Polo-V, GB-8000 may be also installed to Skoda Fabia-II, VW Golf V and Golf VI automobiles.

BIG FILTER Company goes on developing strategic co-operation with the world's biggest automobile manufacturers. Thus, on February 1 BIG FILTER was receiving the delegation of RENAULT-AvtoVAZ alliance representatives. During the visit negotiations on the co-operation were held. BIG FILTER production spaces were shown to the guests and its development potential demonstrated.
On February 1 preliminary quality management system audit by ISO/TS 16949:2009 standard was held.
The aim of the preliminary audit was to check the readiness of the Company to the international certification planned for May 2011.

On December 22 BIG FILTER Company successfully passed ISO 9001:2008 Inspection control in TEST-St.Petersburg Co. Ltd Quality System Certification Body of RF GOST. This audit is held annually in order to confirm the conformity of the company to the requirements of the standard. As a result of the audit, BIG FILTER Company received prolongation of ISO 9001:2008 certificate validity for year 2011.
'BIG FILTER' became a winner of 'Exporter of the Year' competition conducted by the Government of Saint-Petersburg.
On December 15, 2010 within the VII Small Entrepreneurship Forum which took place in Saint-Petersburg, BIG FILTER Company was rewarded with the Prize of the Government of Saint-Petersburg according to the results of the competition for 'The best exporter of Saint-Petersburg' title. For many years BIG filters have been having a good reputation among the foreign customers. Within preparation for supplies by the order of OAO 'Avtoframos', Renault-Nissan alliance has held the second audit of BIG FILTER Company.
During the audit Renault specialists made the analysis of the quality management system. At that, significant achievements of BIG FILTER Company in the field of making the quality management system match the Renault-Nissan alliance requirements were marked. First of all, important success of BIG FILTER in managing the quality of the manufactured products and organization of 5S system were noticed.
The alliance representatives paid much attention to the work of BIG FILTER with Volkswagen Concern. In particular, total absence of reclamations at supplying filters both to conveyor and to warranty networks was marked.

On September 14-19 "BIG FILTER" Company participated in Automechanika 2010 in Frankfurt, which is considered to be the world's biggest trade fair for the automotive aftermarket and the leading international meeting place for the automobile sector. Automechanika spotlights innovations and solutions in the fields of parts, systems, tuning, workshop equipment, bodywork & paintwork, car wash, IT & management and the latest automobile services. This year 4,486 companies from 76 countries took part in the fair, and 155,000 people from 180 countries visited it. "BIG FILTER" is a constant participant of Automechanika and attaches great importance to this event, since it enables to gain new business contacts all around the world and develop new branches of activities. As in the previous years, representatives of many leading foreign companies visited "BIG FILTER" booth, negotiations with both current and potential partners were held, and prospects of cooperation were outlined.

According to the report of the AvtoVAZ testing laboratory staff, Bosch Company decided to test their fuel equipment. The researchers found out that when using filters made of painted tin, corrosion products appear, which are not filtered by paper filter element due to their size. These corrosion products go to the spray joint and make gel-type sediments on the sprayers. These results proved the expediency of using the non-corrosive filters, which do not have such a disadvantage, in the fuel system. As a result of these researches, Bosch specialists set the requirement not to use corrosible details in the fuel line. AvtoVAZ, from its side, prohibited using not corrosion-resistant filters on its conveyor.

These are filters made of stainless steel (GB-320 is supplied to Avto VAZ and ZAZ, GB-302 is supplied to AvtoVAZ) and filters made of special shockproof and chemical action proof plastic (GB-335PL is supplied to GAZ conveyor, GB-332PL is being approved for supplies to AvtoVAZ).

In June 2010 "BIG FILTER" started serial supplies of filter GB-800 to the conveyor of Volkswagen automobile plant in Kaluga. From now on, all VW Polo-V automobiles produced in Russia get "BIG FILTER" air filter GB-800 in assembly with the housing. On June 18 "BIG FILTER" dealers conference was held in the conference hall of hotel Terijoki, Zelenogorsk (Saint-Petersburg).

42 "BIG FILTER" trade houses from the Russian Federation and the CIS countries took part in the work of the conference.

In April 2010 the ceremony of the official launching of Skoda Fabia full-cycle production took place at Volkswagen automobile plant in Kaluga. The first batch of GB-800 air filters in assembly for 'Skoda Fabia II' was shipped from 'BIG FILTER' plant to the conveyor of the German automobile giant. In order to make this success come true, our company had not only to hold a serious modernization of the production, but also to re-build the inner business processes. And now it's not only the success of our company. This is the proof of the international level of 'BIG FILTER' as the automobile components supplier, the proof of the serious heading for the modernization of the production on the one hand, and of the heading for satisfying the most difficult requirements of the automobile plants on the other hand.
January 2010:
From January 2010 "BIG FILTER" is starting to supply fuel injection filter GB-302 made of stainless steel to AvtoVAZ production line. The filter has got the OEM number 21120111701005. GB-302 will be installed to the cars of LADA Samara group (VAZ-2113-14-15) and VAZ-2105-07. Also this filter can be installed to all the earlier produced VAZ injection models of the 'ninth' and 'tenth' group with 1,5 liter engine volume.

On December 3-4, 2009 the planned audit on ISO 9001-2001 re-certification and ISO 9001-2008 certification was held at "BIG FILTER" by the auditors of TEST-St.Petersburg of the State Standard of the Russian Federation. All the examined departments got the 'excellent' and 'good' marks. Thus, "BIG FILTER" has successfully passed the ISO 9001-2008 certification. In the near future the company will get three international Certificates of Conformity:

November 2009:
BIG FILTER delegation took part in a traditional seminar of the suppliers of 'Group of companies 'Trek' - 'Time of changes 2009', which took place on November 27, 2009 in Miass of the Chelyabinsk region. 32 supplying organizations from different regions of Russia, including Saint-Petersburg, Moscow, Ryazan, Yaroslavl, Belebey, Perm, Ekaterinburg, Magnitogorsk, Chelyabinsk, Zlatoust etc., took part in the seminar. The seminar was aimed not only to summarizing the results, but also to discussing the prospects of co-operating. Thus, during negotiations between "BIG FILTER" delegation and 'Group of companies 'Trek' Managers preliminary agreements on some interesting prospective projects were reached.
The acceptance of the concept of the long-term mutually beneficial co-operation by the participants can be considered to be the main result of the seminar.
On October 26-27, 2009 'Volkswagen Group Rus' plant held the Supplier's Day in Kaluga. This event was dedicated to the launch of the new model for the Russian market in May 2010. The main attention on the meeting was paid to the quality management system of the automobile components supplied to the plant. During 2 days the participants of the meeting familiarized themselves with the requirements of acceptance, visited the measuring and testing laboratories of the plant. The concern representatives represented their reports dedicated to the quality standards of 'Volkswagen' concern, suppliers' management, technical standards, suppliers' quality guarantees, logistics and purchasing specifics. "BIG FILTER" passed preliminary audit by the VW experts and is one of the few Russian suppliers of Volkswagen plant since 2009. "BIG FILTER" delegation took part in the work of the round tables on 'Logistics concept', 'Information systems', 'Automobile audit', 'Components quality' topics.
October 2009:
At the meeting of the Board of Chamber of Federal Institute for Industrial Property (Russian Agency for Patents and Trademarks), which took place on the 22nd of October, patent ?36259 "Oil filter" was remained in force till August 2013. According to this patent formula, "BIG FILTER" plant produces unique filters with 2 filter curtains, one of which is placed in front of the overflow valve, and the second one - behind it. Among these filters are GB-1173 and GB-111, which are supplied by "BIG FILTER" to GAZ and ZMZ conveyors.
 
August 2009:
From the 26 till the 30 of August 'BIG FILTER' production was represented at the 5th international exhibition 'INTERAVTO', which took place at 'Krokus-Expo' exhibition complex in Moscow. On this exhibition special attention of the booth visitors was attracted by the popular foreign cars filters production project worked up by "BIG FILTER", and also by the represented production modernization programs. As a result of the exhibition, important agreements with many actual and potential customers were reached.

June 2009:
On June 16, 2009, "BIG FILTER" got the conclusion on the results of the audit check concerning the possibility of receiving the 'Supplier certificate', which was effected by the auditors of automobile plant 'GAZ', which "BIG FILTER" has been supplying its production to already for many years. The results of the check showed that "BIG FILTER" is a reliable supplier, and in the report of the auditors group to the automobile plant it was recommended to develop further co-operation with our company. The check was effected at each stage of the production process by such parameters as 'Supplier's reliability', 'Warehousing of raw materials and delivery to production', 'Production of goods', 'Quality of goods', 'Actions with finished goods'. During the estimation "BIG FILTER" got high levels in all criterions.
In June 2009 the planned inspection check of the certification organ 'Test - S.-Petersburg' of the State Standard of the Russian Federation was held in "BIG FILTER". The procedure of the audit check was held under the observation of Italian representative of the International Certification Organ. During the audit the correspondence of the inspection control of "BIG FILTER" business processes to the MOS requirements was checked, and the high level of the management of the company was confirmed.
The OAO 'AVTOVAZ' technical development department has hold the successful tests of GB-302 injection filters. According to the tests results, filter GB-302 is allowed for production and it received OEM-number 2112-1117010-05 (all outer details of the filter are made of corrosion-resistant steel). In the nearest future the shipments of this filter to the main conveyer of 'AvtoVAZ' for installation into injection cars will be started.
May 2009:
In May 2009 "BIG FILTER" Company started to supply its production to North Korea (Pyongyang). The filters are supplied in sets for installation to cars LADA Priora (fuel GB-320, oil GB-102í, air GB-9597C and cabin air GB-9833/ó), as well as to cars PAZ (fuel diesel filters GB-612, GB-6118, oil filter GB-1085, air filters GB-9292, GB-9233).

In December 2008 company "BIG FILTER" was nominated by the management of 'Volkswagen AG' concern as a filter supplier for Volkswagen plant in Kaluga. It became possible due to the fact that the production standards of 'BIG FILTER' company completely correspond to the demands of the international automobile concerns and particularly to Volkswagen concern. This event became one of the first achievements in the process of implementation of the new strategic plan of "BIG FILTER" development, which is aimed to strengthen the co-operation with foreign car manufactures.
On the 23rd of December 2008 the staff of company "BIG FILTER" celebrated the upcoming New Year at 'Art-Vokzal' club. Cozy atmosphere and good music made a festive mood and friendly climate for the out of office communication. Employees of the company participated in competitions and games, and won prizes and gifts.
Company "BIG FILTER" systematically develops social programs for its employees, which is one of the priority lines in the activity of the company.
On the 12th of December 2008 a meeting took place in "BIG FILTER", which was dedicated to the ceremonial handing of certificates and rights of disposal of money on the individual accounts, specially opened in a non-governmental pension fund of one of the biggest Russian banks, to the assembly workers of the company.
The program of the company's participation in the retirement insurance was elaborated in 2006, when the company assumed obligations to transfer to each assembly worker monthly an additional certain sum of money, above his wages, to a special account, which after some agreed period will be handed to the disposal of the insurant worker.
The company is now proceeding with the started program. It has even increased such transfers, thereby stimulating the workers to carry out their work duties carefully and supporting them in the hard time of the economic crisis.
On the 9th of December the presentation of awards to the winners of the Second competition of Saint-Petersburg Government prize for achievements in the field of export of goods took place in the Marble Palace.
Company "BIG FILTER" was awarded with the Prize of Saint-Petersburg Government for the results of its work in the year 2007. It has already been the second prize which the company has got during the time of the competition existence. For the first time the achievements of "BIG FILTER" as the best exporter were recognized by the Government last year.

On the 20th of October 2008 the validity of patent for utility model ?36259, which enables to produce filters GB-111, GB-1162 and GB-1173 that have two filtering elements, has been prolonged.
Filter GB-111 is applied after major repair for running in the engines of cars GAZ (ZMZ-405 and ZMZ-406), VAZ 2101-07, VAZ 2108-09, VAZ 2110-12, VAZ 2121-214, NIVA-Chevrolet, Moskvitch 2141, UAZ-Hunter, ZAZ-Tavria and some foreign cars.
Filter GB-1162 is intended for UAZ cars with ZMZ engines.
Filter GB-1173 is installed in GAZ and UAZ cars.

"BIG FILTER" participated in the jubilee 20th International Exhibition Automechanika, which took place in Frankfurt am Main from the 16th till the 21st of September. Automechanika is one of the most important places where key persons of the automotive industry meet. This year more than 4600 exhibitors took part in this exhibition, and approximately 166 000 people visited it.
Participation in the exhibition let "BIG FILTER" carry on plenty of effective negotiations with leading companies of the industry. At the moment it is safe to say that quality of 'BIG FILTER' products is recognized to be the best at the international market. The introduction of new filters into production allowed to develop and strengthen collaboration with the company's partners, who take the leading positions at the filters market, and also to attract new partners.
During the exhibition negotiations with more than 170 representatives of different companies from 50 countries were carried on. June 2008:
GB-111: the first engine break-in filter in Russia
"BIG FILTER" has worked out a special construction of oil filter GB-111 for breaking the engines in after their major repair. In an ordinary filter, when inner increase of the working pressure of oil in the moment of engine starting happens, especially in cold weather, the pressure-relief valve starts working.
The unrefined oil goes to the engine and brings with itself the dirt, which was accumulated on filtering element. At the same time metal elements, formed as a result of friction of the engine parts during its breaking in, get into the oil system. All this brings the work of the oil filter to nothing.
The construction of filter GB-111 is different, as it has two filtering curtains (outer and inner) with metal frame between them. In an ordinary mode of work the oil filtration is accomplished through the outer curtain. When the engine starts, the pressure-relief valve begins working and oil begins to go through the inner curtain, which has an increased carrying capacity. Thus, the filtration is fulfilled constantly, and it is very important for the cars after the major repair. The only thing which should be remembered about is the necessity to change oil and oil filter after 1.5-2 thousand km have been done since the major repair.
This model of filter can be used for running the car in after the major repair of engines of the cars GAZ with engine ZMZ-405 and ZMZ-406, VAZ 2101-07, VAZ 2108-09, VAZ 2110-12, VAZ-2121-214, NIVA-Chevrolet, Moskvich 2141, UAZ-Hunter and also ZAZ-Tavria and some foreign cars.
The filter is on sale at the moment.
